Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) - Our specialty!
PCIT is an evidence based therapy for young children with emotional and behavioral disorders. PCIT emphasizes improving the quality of the parent-child relationship and changing parent-child interaction patterns. (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is available in Spanish upon special request)
Pre-Teen and Teen Counseling
With an attachment and trauma focus, P-CIC offers individual therapy for your pre-teen/teen struggling with depression, anxiety, attachment problems, trauma, family and social relationship stress.
General Counseling
Counseling for adults, couples, and families on a variety of life issues.
Play Therapy
A therapeutic technique generally used with childreen that gives them a way to express their experiences and feelings through a natural, self-guided, self-healing process. As children's experiences and knowledge are often communicated through play, it becomes an important vehicle for them to know and accept themselves and others.
Substance Abuse Counseling
Approached using cognitive-behavioral therapy blended with motivational interviewing techniques that work at whatever stage the client is in to help move successfully towards the goals.
How to get started:
Contact the office to set up an initial intake appointment. If you would like to speak to a therapist prior to scheduling, a phone consultation is always free of charge.
P-CIC offers a sliding fee scale and also is contracted through
many insurance companies. If you would like to use insurance,
you should contact your insurance provider to determine what coverage you have for outpatient mental health. While our staff
may be able to assist you with insurance questions, please understand that your insurance coverage is an agreement between you and your insurance company.
Many of the therapists at P-CIC are Pro Bono Providers through Larimer Center Connections, CORE Services providers through Larimer County Department of Human Services, and Victim Compensation Providers through the District Attorney's Office.
